Qualifications we accept for undergraduate study
National Certificate of Educational Achievement (NCEA) with a minimum of 80 credits in total with 60 credits at level 3.
New Zealand Certificate of Steiner Education (NZCSE)
NZCSE subject-specific requirements:
A = Excellence
B = Merit
C = Achieved
If we ask for A*AA, you need:
NCEA: Excellence in three 20 credit subjects and 20 credits at no less than Merit, all at level 3
NZCSE: Distinction
If we ask for AAA, you need:
NCEA: Excellence in three 20 credit subjects and 20 credits at no less than Merit, all at level 3
NZCSE: Distinction
If we ask for AAB, you need:
NCEA: Excellence in two 20 credit subjects and Merit in two 20 credit subjects, all at level 3
NZCSE: Distinction
If we ask for ABB, you need:
NCEA: Excellence in one 20 credit subject and Merit in three 20 credit subjects, all at level 3
NZCSE: Highly Commended
If we ask for BBB, you need:
NCEA: Merit in four 20 credit subjects, all at level 3
NZCSE: Highly Commended
English Language minimum for undergraduate study
NCEA Level 3 at Merit, You will need IELTS 6.0 overall, GCSE English C or 4 or an equivalent qualification: Check which English language qualifications we accept.
Applicants who have studied in New Zealand for at least two years to complete an undergraduate degree, where the medium of instruction was English, are not required to undertake further English language tests.

English Language minimum for postgraduate study

Applicants who have studied in New Zealand for at least two years to complete an undergraduate degree or one year to complete a Masters degree, where the medium of instruction was English, are not required to undertake further English language tests.
Postgraduate Research exemptions
