Position
Staff
Job title
People Centred Researcher

About me

I am a researcher with a keen focus on creating more equitable experiences for students from all backgrounds through creating a people-centred approach to solving problems. My research prior to joining the 映客直播 focused on LGBTQ+ issues around media representation and healthcare inequalities.

Since joining the Learning Design Team, I have supported the delivery of curriculum design sprints by leading the delivery of the pre-sprint discovery phase, using a range of research methods to investigate student and staff experiences. So far, these topics have included formative assessments and creating a more flexible and supportive learning environment. I am committed to using research to shape and improve the experiences of staff and students at the 映客直播, finding new ways of working.

How I can help

I can support colleagues in developing and delivering research which centres those with lived experience at the heart of identifying solutions to problems. This includes, for example, creating course, module, and assessment structures which are not bound by the perceived confines of long-term practices. I am keen to contribute to the identification of innovative, new ways of working which are geared towards the students of today.

I am also interested in supporting projects which look to investigate social inequalities, with a keen focus on barriers experienced around disability, sexuality, and gender identity.
