UK Excellence Masters Scholarships

Applications for the UK Excellence Masters Scholarships are now closed.

We have over 30 scholarships each worth £5,000 for UK students wishing to pursue a full-time taught Masters degree.

The awards recognise and reward high academic achievement for students applying to study a full-time taught course in September 2026.

We also offer our Leeds Masters Scholarship to support students from underrepresented groups.

Eligibility criteria

To apply for a UK Excellence Masters Scholarship you must:

Be classified as a UK student for tuition fee purposes.
Demonstrate an excellent academic track record and are expected to attain a Bachelor degree with at least a 2:1 (Hons) or equivalent.
Not already be enrolled on a postgraduate course.
Have applied for 2026/2027 entry for a full-time campus-based Masters degree.
Be self-funding for at least part of the cost of your tuition fees. This includes financial support from a friend or relative, or a postgraduate loan from the UK government.

Applications for this scholarship have now closed.

If you applied for this scholarship before the deadline you will be notified of the outcome of your application by 17 June 2026.

Scholarships will be awarded to high-achieving and particularly deserving applicants in the form of a £5,000 tuition fee reduction.

If you are selected for the scholarship, you will need to accept the award within the timeframe stated in your scholarship letter.
