About the Futures Institutes

Our two Futures Institutes focus on delivering research and education to address some of the most pressing global challenges.

Our 聽aims to bring together research and innovation, knowledge exchange, and education to deliver global impact, drive down inequalities, and create a Fairer future for all.

The Futures Institutes encourage more inter-faculty research, postgraduate education and professional learning collaborations to tackle pressing global challenges in two areas of demonstrable strength where we can create the biggest impact: climate and society.

Our institutes co-create world-changing research in partnership with policymakers, businesses, governments and the general public, and deliver interdisciplinary postgraduate education聽to equip the next generation of leaders and practitioners in their respective fields.

  • This Institute collaboratively designs and delivers just and actionable climate solutions, supporting the delivery of the University鈥檚 Climate Plan.
