Open Days and information sessions

Our free on-campus and online events will help you find out more about our foundation year courses and full/part-time degrees for adult learners.

You can also join our general sessions, where we’ll cover topics such as student finance, returning to education and support for mature students.

Applicant drop-in sessions

Drop by the Lifelong Learning Centre in-person for help with your application for any of our courses, applying for student finance, writing your personal statement and anything else we can assist you with.

Our weekly applicant drop-in sessions will run every Tuesday afternoon from 1 to 4pm from Tuesday 3 March 2026 until the end of August 2026.

Please note that there will be no drop-ins on Tuesday 7 April 2026 and Tuesday 26 May 2026 when the University will be closed.

12 February: Supporting learning, supporting families

Thursday 12 February, 6.00pm to 7.30pm – online

Learn about our part-time degrees in and .

These courses can allow you to:

  • Develop your career in education or with children, young people or families
  • Balance study around your other commitments with classes taught one afternoon or evening per week
  • Learn in a supportive environment with other adults

Financial support is also available.

26 February: Explore your potential

Thursday 26 February, 6.00pm to 7.30pm – in-person

Are you thinking about enhancing your career?

The 映客直播 offers flexible entry routes for adult learners.

Our  is taught in the evenings and on four Saturdays each year, so you can study alongside work or other commitments.

Business Management and Leadership is designed to equip you with the knowledge and skills that can help boost your career.

It offers:

  • Supportive teaching
  • World class facilities
  • Wraparound student support

Join us for an informal networking event at the Lifelong Learning Centre where you will learn about:

  • Our part-time Business Management and Leadership degree
  • How to use to build your online professional network
  • How to access free, impartial advice and guidance from us on your next steps

3 March: An introduction to student finance

Are you worried about the cost of going to university?
Do you want to find out more about the financial support available to you?

Join our online information session to learn about:

  • Applying for student finance as a part-time or full-time student
  • Loans and grants available from Student Finance England for part-time and full-time degree courses
  • Additional financial assistance you could be entitled to
  • Support available to mature students at the 映客直播

12 March and 17 March: Pathways to university for adults

Thursday 12 March, 10.00am to 2.00pm – in-person

Tuesday 17 March, 6.00pm to 7.30pm – online

Join us in-person or online to learn about the following courses for mature learners at the 映客直播:

 – a part-time, evening foundation year for adults

 – a broad degree designed for adults, available part-time or full-time

You will:

  • Try out a short taster session of each course
  • Hear from other adults who have returned to education
  • Learn about student finance and support for mature students at Leeds

Lunch and refreshments will be provided at the in-person event, and you'll also have the opportunity to explore the University campus.

We have a small number of free pre-school childcare places available in for the in-person event - please book at least 10 days before the event if you need childcare and we’ll call you to discuss your requirements.

  • Hear from current students and course tutors
  • Find out more about financial support to help you study
  • Learn about other support available
  • Get advice on your next steps
