College of Arts, Humanities & Sciences

TheÌýLegal Studies ProgramÌýis accredited by the North Carolina State Bar and the American Bar Association (ABA).

TheÌýTeacher Education ProgramÌýis accredited by the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction (NCDPI) and provides courses of study for the following teaching licenses: Elementary Education (K-6); Middle Grades Education (6-9) concentrations: Language Arts, Mathematics, Social Studies, and Science; Special Education: General Curriculum; Secondary Education (9-12): Mathematics, History with Social Studies licensure, English, and General Science; Special Subjects (K-12): Art, Music, Physical Education and Health Education, and add-on licensure programs in English as a Second Language (ESL) and academically and intellectually gifted (AIG).

College of Business, Technology & Professional Studies

ACBSP Accredited SealThe Reeves School of Business is nationally accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) to offer the following degrees: the Professional Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) with a focus in Organizational Management and Leadership, the Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Accounting, Business Administration, Entrepreneurship, Financial Economics, Management, Marketing, and Sport Management.Ìý Additionally, a minor in Accounting; Business Administration; Entrepreneurship; Financial Economics; Human Resource Management; International Business; Management; Marketing; Professional Tennis Management; Resort, Club, and Hospitality Management; and Sport Management is accredited.Ìý Finally, a B.S. degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Financial Economics or Marketing with a PGA Golf Management Concentration; and Professional Tennis Management is accredited.

Beginning in the fall 2019, the University offers the Bachelors of Applied Science in Accounting degree, as well as, the Bachelors of Applied Science in Business degree. Beginning in the fall of 2022, the University offers the Bachelors of Science in Business Analytics. Currently, we are seeking accreditation from the ACBSP for these three degree programs.

TheÌýDepartment of Nursing, which is a member of the American Association of Colleges of Nursing, has been granted full approval by the North Carolina Board of Nursing to offer the baccalaureate in nursing degree. The baccalaureate-degree-level Occupational Therapy Assistant Program has applied for accreditation and has been granted Candidacy Status by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) of the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA), located at 7501 Wisconsin Avenue, Suite 510E, Bethesda, MD 20814. TheÌýSocial Work ProgramÌýis accredited by the Council on Social Work Education and the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction (School Social Work) and offers a B.S.W. degree.

TheÌýPhysician Assistant ProgramÌýis accredited by The Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs in October, 1998. The Physician Assistant Program is accredited through the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant, Inc. (ARC-PA).

College of Medicine

The Ó³¿ÍÖ±²¥ Cape Fear Valley Health School of Medicine is currently an applicant program with the Liaison Commission on Medical Education (LCME).
